St. Maarten Hospitals On the Dutch side to be admitted if you are not a citizen of the Dutch side and have no local social security card (SVB) you have to pay upfront before they will help you. That would mean to bring your credit card. I had a bee sting and got frightened and went to see emergency, I had to pay $100 deposit before a doctor could look at me, after I got an injection in my *** and went back to see if I would get any change, no, this case was $100. So be prepared. If you have particular questions for this section send me an email and I will get the answers for you from the hospitals themselves. If I am not mistaken, if you are a EU citizen on the French side hospital the emergency medical care is free. Medicines Questions? Use the 'Contact Us' link on top of the screen |
